Pay: $42,000 - $48,000

About Us:
Fostering Connections is dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth in Oklahoma’s welfare system. We provide basic needs items to children and youth to help ease the transition into out-of-home care. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketing and Event Director to join our team and help us expand our reach and impact.
Job Summary:
The Marketing and Event Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, managing our brand identity, overseeing our website and SEO efforts, and coordinating events that advance our mission and engage our community. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their experience in these areas.
This position does require in-office days. This is a 40 hour a week position that will require working overtime around our events, specifically in the month of December.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing and Branding:

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote Fostering Connections and its programs.

Manage and enhance Fostering Connections brand identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms and materials.

Create compelling content for various channels, including social media, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
Website and SEO Management:

Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the organization's website.

Implement SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.

Analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Event Management:

Plan, organize, and execute events such as fundraisers and community outreach programs.

Oversee and lead our largest program – Fostering Joy. Fostering Joy takes place throughout November and December and requires longer working days during this time.

Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.

Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and promotional strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, media, and the community.

Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain supporters.
Reporting and Analytics:

Track and report on marketing and event metrics, providing regular updates to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

Use data and insights to refine and improve marketing and event strategies.
Programs:
-
Assisting in Resource Center by restocking, organizing, and merchandising.

Working with volunteers and volunteer groups at the Resource Center, Warehouse, and special events. This may include working outside of the normal operation hours.

Serving as back up for the Resource Center, Mobile Connections, and Warehouse.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in marketing, branding, website management, SEO, and event management.

Strong portfolio showcasing successful marketing campaigns, website projects, and events.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Strong knowledge of Office products.

Experience with Salesforce.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the nonprofit sector.

Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools, social media management tools).
