Fostering Connections partners with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to improve the lives of abused and neglected children in Tulsa and contiguous counties by providing resources and building community.
HISTORY
Tulsa Advocates for the Protection of Children was formed in 2006 when the Children's Services Advisory Board, who had been serving this population since 1948, merged with the Tulsa Community Children's Foundation, created in 2004. This consolidation created Tulsa Advocates for the Protection of Children (TAPC) as one organization committed to providing services and the unmet needs of the children in Oklahoma Department of Human Services’ custody.

In 2019, the TAPC board and leadership staff underwent activities to rebrand the organization. In June 2020, TAPC began operating as Fostering Connections, a dba of Tulsa Advocates for the Protection of Children.
